On May 21, 2025, pro-Palestinian activists demonstrated at the steps of the Rotterdam Stadhuis.
Their reasoning was the expected arrival of a Maersk cargo ship carrying F-35 parts on route to Israel.
While the demonstration began at Rotterdam stahuis, it ended with traffic blockades and an unplanned march towards Maersk's offices.
